DRIFTING As recorded by Andy Mckee (From the 2005 Album NOCTURNE) Transcribed by Jeffrey Adams www.freewebs.com/powerscribe Music by Andy Mckee Performance Notes The use of up- and downstemmed notation is used to differentiate between right- and left-hand roles, repectively. Throughout, X's are used for the percussion facets. Concerning the left-hand: X's on the E string mean to tap the side of the upper bout while an A-string X indicates tapping the body of the guitar, next to the pickguard. While the right-hand is predominately used for melody work, X's in the top melody refer to tapping the base of the lower bout during the intro. Since the rhythm is pretty quick, use your index and middle fingers.
